| Tanker Makes Quick Work of Car Fire |

Around 3 o'clock this afternoon Tanker 38 was dispatched to Rt. 22/322 West Bound, in the area of Rt. 443 in the 37-9 box, for a car fire. Tanker 38 responded in three minutes with three firefighters. The tanker arrived first and took on the duties of the attack piece. The crew stretched an 1 3/4 handline across the highway to reach the fire and made a fast knock, holding the fire to the engine compartment. Units overhauled the car and returned in a half an hour.
